Question / Issue
The Speedo Healer for my 2008 Hayabusa didn’t work around the stock speed limiter. The product is installed and working properly as far as I can tell. I can program in different % offsets and the speedo reacts like it should, but the bike ran 180MPH in 6th gear on the dyno and signed off.

Answer / Solution

Did you properly set the Speedo healer to force the speedometer to read 20 MPH when it should read 200?  Just adding the Speedo healer out of the box will NOT allow the bike to run past the limiter.  The recalibration simply keeps the Speedo from reading 186…so the bike doesn’t know how fast it is going, so no limiter.

I use these settings on my 14:  For high speed runs I use -90%. This means the Speedo will read 21 MPH at 210 MPH. SH Calibration Value to be stored: -90.0% SH Conversion mode Value to be stored: 0 - the ignition must be OFF - set ALL SH switches ON - turn ON the ignition - press the button => memory cleared - set ALL switches OFF EXCEPT #4 - press the button 9 time(s) - set #4 switch OFF => all data stored in Flash. If you performed the above correctly and the limiter still functions-use the TRE.
