Question / Issue
I originally thought when I installed the TRE, on my Suzuki Hayabusa, the mapping was changing when you shift through the gears but I believe the mapping isn't changing, it's just shutting down the fuel pump in 6th gear. Is my theory correct?

Answer / Solution

The Suzuki's have different fuel and ignition mapping in each gear via differing resistance values as the shift drum switches positions. We have confirmed this with American Suzuki. The TRE (switchable or not) simply locks the ecu into a specific map by allowing the ecu to read only one resistance value (usually 5th gear to eliminate the high speed limiter).
