Question / Issue
I had a shop install a Streetmeg on my 2008 ZX14 and it started to leak lots of motor oil from the top of engine. What do you think went wrong with the install? Is it coming from the air box or valve cover gasket? Did they plug up the wrong port or hole.?

Answer / Solution

There is no reason for any engine covers to be removed during the installation of any of our exhaust systems.  Did your dealership also adjust your valves or perform any other type of maintenance?  The only thing that could possibly be exhaust installation related would be if they accidentally removed the drain hose which allows oil/fliuds etc. trapped in the airbox to drain.  But, If this hose were removed it would drain towards the rear of your engine, not near the top of your engine.  Did they install an aftermarket PAIR valve block off kit?  If this kit was installed incorrectly or without the proper gaskets, it could cause the problem that you are describing.  It must be corrected immediately or a fire hazard can develop!
