Question / Issue
Is there a general rule of thumb for gearing when adding more length to the wheel-base?

Answer / Solution

Usually it does not change, you'll just leave harder and get the gas pinned sooner. Unless you are gong through in a higher gear...5th vs. 4th in the quarter etc. If so, you would want to compare your current gearing with your new gearing using our gearing calculator (FAQ listed below).
