Thanks for the input, guys!
As “experts” in the acceleration business….. We here at Brock's Performance are constantly amazed at the quantity of BAD information flying around on the web!
Talk and type are just words...anyone with a mouth or fingers can chime up. WE ARE DO'ERS….2004 will prove it again.
I have tried to correct some of this in the past……seems like a waste of time although I know it does help the folks who actually listen. Unfortunately, it is impractical for me to search the web for the problems of others. Now, they can bring them here for others to see and learn.
This one is still unbelievable to me: I have actually had guys e-mail questions for me to answer….then BRAG about posting their own imaginary results in a forum to see what happens to the unknowing who try their BS. One guy had the balls to ask me to explain exactly why the folks who tried his idea TRASHED THEIR CRANK BEARINGS????!!!!!
(FYI: DO NOT RUN LOW OIL LEVELS AFTER REMOVING YOUR HARMONIC BALLANCER!!)
By controlling the content in this forum….if we consider a post to be bad information…we’ll trash it.
Forget about democracy in here….it’s MY WAY!!! (You are always free to surf elsewhere.)
We will only post information we consider correct AT THE MOMENT.
Anyone good at this stuff will tell you…..things change quickly.
Our ability to test and manufacture means that information which may have been considered “the gospel” 6 months ago…….may need to be revised or updated to apply now.
Each time a new model year sportbike is released…..we have to figure out what IS actually different…. even if the manufacturer considers the new model a “Bold new graphics” bike?
(Example: Everyone ((and we have GOOD sources!)) we spoke with assured us that the pc2’s would work fine on the 2002 Hayabusa’s?!!! The bikes wouldn’t even start…..and we all had to wait 6 months for the pc3r’s?……)
This is the after-market world’s job and we feel up to the challenge.
We are frightening some in the industry with our approach…….rightfully so in some cases…! ( Some should go back to Burger King or selling used cars or whatever it was that they used to do before they started taking advantage of guys who are passionate… not necessarily educated... about their bikes…...)
I like this forum stuff already…..it saves me time and provides you with the best we have.
